MERIDIAN —     Dr. and Mrs. Robert Blubaugh of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Amye Lynn, to David Austin Lovitt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip David Lovitt of Hattiesburg.

    The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at 6 p.m. at Rayne Memorial United Methodist Church in New Orleans, La.

    Miss Blubaugh is the granddaughter of Mrs. Shirley Standefer and the late Mr. Bill Standefer of Owasso, Okla., and Mrs. Betty Radcliff and the late Mr. Robert Blubaugh of Ponca City, Okla.

    The bride-elect received a doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and a bachelor of arts and sciences degree in Food, Nutrition and Health Promotion with a concentration in nutrition from Mississippi State University. She is a graduate of Lamar High School.

    While attending MSU, she was a member of Chi Omega sorority and Campus Crusade for Christ.

    Miss Blubaugh is employed as a physical therapist by Healthsouth Lakeshore Rehabilitation Hospital in Birmingham, Ala.

    Mr. Lovitt is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Oscar Lovitt and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Carley McRae of Waynesboro.

    The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor of landscape architecture degree from Mississippi State University. He is a graduate of Oak Grove High School.    He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

    Mr. Lovitt is employed as a landscape architect with Neel-Schaffer Inc. in Hattiesburg.

    A reception will be held at Latrobe’s on Royal in the French Quarter.

    The couple will reside in Hattiesburg.
