MERIDIAN —     Mr. and Mrs. Keith Cooper of Potts Camp announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Katherine Nicole, to Eric William Pace, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven (Lisa) Surbrook of Chesterfield, Va., and Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Buck) Pace of New Albany.

    The wedding will be Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 6 p.m., in the Paris-Yates Chapel, Oxford.

    Miss Cooper is the granddaughter of Mrs. Eva Crawley and the late Mr. Charles Crawley of Pinedale and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cooper of Potts Camp.

    The bride-elect graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2012 with a bachelor of arts degree in secondary English education. She is a 2009 graduate of Hickory Flat Attendance Center.

    While attending Ole Miss, Miss Cooper worked at the Daily Mississippian newspaper. She is a member of Phi Mu sorority.  

    Miss Cooper is currently employed by the DeSoto County School System as a ninth grade English teacher at Lake Cormorant High School.  

    Mr. Pace is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry W. Fox Sr. of DeKalb, Mrs. Norma Pace and the late Mr. Charley W. Pace Sr. of Bailey and Mrs. Mary Cornelius and the late Mr. Tom Cornelius of New Albany.

    The bridegroom-elect is a 2005 graduate of West Lauderdale High School, Collinsville, where he received a football scholarship to Itawamba Community College. He graduated in 2007 with an associate’s degree in liberal arts. He also attended Northeast Community College (2009-11), where he received an associate’s of applied sciences degree in machine tool and die technology.  

    Mr. Pace is currently employed at Southern Systems Inc., Memphis, Tenn., as a CNC machinist.

    A reception will follow at the University Club, Oxford. Family and friends are invited to attend.

    The couple will residee in Olive Branch.
