Swancey, Jones

MERIDIAN —     Danny and Vashti Swancey of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Morgan Danielle, to Aaron Andrew Jones, son of Russell and Amanda Jones of Laurel.

    The wedding will be Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 4 p.m., at Landrum’s Country Homestead.

    Miss Swancey is the granddaughter of Butch and Edwinna Terry of Meridian and Charles and Martha Swancey, all of Meridian.

    The bride-elect received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Mississippi University for Women and an associate’s degree in nursing from Meridian Community College. She is also a graduate of Enterprise High School.

    While attending MCC, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society; the Organization of Student Nurses, serving on the Public Relations Committee; and named homecoming queen for 2011.

    Miss Swancey is employed by Rush Foundation Hospital as a registered nurse in the emergency department.

    Mr. Jones is the grandson of Orlan and Delores Jones, Aaron and Dora Jones and Berteen Jones, all of Laurel.

    The bridegroom-elect received an associate’s degree in applied science from Jones County Junior College and an electrical lineman certificate from East Mississippi Community College.

    Mr. Jones is employed by Dixie Electric Power Association.

    A reception will be held at Landrum’s Country Homestead.
