Mayes, Prince

MERIDIAN —     Mr. and Mrs. Kent Mayes of Newton are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Brookes Anne, to Kendall Blaine Prince, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Prince of Collinsville.

    The wedding will be Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 2 p.m., at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Newton.   

Miss Mayes is the granddaughter of Mrs. Elaine Bounds of Newton and the late Mr. Tommy Joe Bounds, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel H. Mayes.

    The bride-elect received a bachelor of science degree in business teacher education in 2010 from Mississippi State University and an associate of arts degree from East Central Community College in 2008. She is also a 2006 graduate of Newton County Academy.

Miss Mayes is currently employed with the Tupelo School District as a marketing and economics instructor.  

    Mr. Prince is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Curry of Meridian, Ms. Verdia Prince of Stonewall and the late Mr. William K. Prince.

    The bridegroom-elect graduated from Mississippi State University in 2013 with a bachelor of science degree in secondary history education. He is a 2007 graduate of West Lauderdale High School and attended Meridian Community College.

    Family and friends are invited to attend.
