Herb and Melinda Holloway of Hammond, La., announce the engagement of their daughter, Casey Lee, to Joel Philip Mabry, son of Raeburn and Hope Mabry of Collinsville.
The wedding will be Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 7:30 p.m., at Koinonia Coffee House, Jackson.
Miss Holloway is the granddaughter of Ray and Anna Hinson of Holden, La., and Ronnie and Faye Holloway of Tallulah, La.
The bride-elect is a cum laude graduate of Millsaps College in Jackson, where she received a bachelor of science degree in religious studies, sociology and anthropology.
While attending Millsaps, she was on the board of the Millsaps Masala, a member of Millsaps Christian Fellowship and worked for the Millsaps Office of Communications.
Miss Holloway is currently a medical student at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport, La. She plans to pursue a career in internal medicine.
Mr. Mabry is the grandson of Stella Melendez Moyer and the late Thomas Charles Moyer of Kenner, La., and Shirley Williams Mabry and the late Reuben Coleman Mabry of Collinsville.
The bridegroom-elect is a summa cum laude graduate of Millsaps College in Jackson, where he received a bachelor of arts degree in political science. He is also a graduate of West Lauderdale High School.
While attending Millsaps, he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Millsaps Christian Fellowship and the Millsaps Players.
A reception will be held at Koinonia Coffee House following the ceremony.
Formal invitations will be sent to out-of-town guests only.
The couple plans to reside in Shreveport, La., while Miss Holloway completes her studies.
