Bartlett, Thomas

MERIDIAN —

    Kathryn Price Dopke of Meridian announces the engagement of her daughter, Ashley Lauren Bartlett, to Joseph Ryan Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Thomas of Meridian.

    Miss Bartlett is also the daughter of the late Terry Lawrence Bartlett and stepdaughter of the late Clayton Thomas Dopke. Mr. Thomas is also the son of the late Connie White Thomas.

    The wedding will be Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 6 p.m., at Russell Baptist Church, Meridian.

    Miss Bartlett is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Price of Meridian, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bartlett, and the late Mrs. Walterene Bartlett of Meridian.

    The bride-elect received an associate’s degree in nursing from Meridian Community College. She is an honors graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School.

    Miss Bartlett is employed as a school nurse by the Huntsville City School District in Huntsville, Ala.

    Mr. Thomas is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. C.O. Culpepper of Chunky, the late Mr. and Mrs. John A. Thomas of Meridian and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold C. “Buck” White of Meridian.

    The bridegroom-elect received a master’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State University. He is a graduate of Meridian High School.

    Mr. Thomas is employed as a contracting specialist by U.S. Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville.

    A reception will be held at Union Station following the ceremony.

    Family and friends are invited to attend.
