Carpenter, Holland


    Mark and Debbie Carpenter of Chattanooga, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Leigh, to James David Holland, son of Dan and Lisa Holland of Daleville.

    The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 2 p.m., at Falling Water Baptist Church in Chattanooga.

    Miss Carpenter is the granddaughter of Lee and Betty Vanoer of Chattanooga, Gordon and Anita Harrower of Dunnsville, Va., the late Paul Lowe and David and Tina Carpenter of Keystone Heights, Fla.

    The bride-elect received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn. She is also a graduate of Hamilton Heights High School in Chattanooga.

    While attending Bryan College, she was a member of the Student Government Association, Ambassadors and served as president of the Psychology Club.

    Miss Carpenter is employed by Lighthouse Counseling Center in Chattanooga.

    Mr. Holland is the grandson of Jim and Joann McRae of Daleville and David and Barbara Holland of Hooper, Colo.

    The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies from Bryan College in Dayton. He is also a graduate of Lamar High School.

    While attending Bryan College, he served as vice-president of the Student Government Association and was a member of the Rugby Club.

    Mr. Holland is employed by Clearspan Components Inc.

    A reception will be held at Mississippi Industrial Heritage Museum on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012.
