MERIDIAN —     Mr. and Mrs. David Sharp of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Joey Pinkard of Vaiden announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara Beth, to Jeremy Brandon Briggs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Briggs.

    The wedding will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Circle M Plantation in Macon.

    Miss Sharp is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Walker and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Pinkard, and the late Sandra Pinkard, all of Kosciusko.

    The bride-elect received a bachelor of science degree in insurance, risk management and financial planning at Mississippi State University. She is a 2009 graduate of Northeast High School.

    While attending college, she was a member of Phi Mu sorority.

    Miss Pinkard is currently the owner of Edna Grayce’s, an online retail clothing boutique.

    Mr. Briggs is the grandson of Mr. Norman McKenzie, the late Betty McKenzie, Mrs. Robbye Briggs and the late Louie Briggs, all of Porterville.

    The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he received his bachelor of science degree in agriculture, engineering technology, and business. He is a 2006 graduate of Sumter Academy.

    Mr. Briggs is currently employed as a survey technician for Southern Company Services in DeKalb.

    A reception will follow the wedding.
