Allred, Wile

MERIDIAN —     Tim and Linda Allred of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Katherine, to Daniel Frederick Wile, son of Fred and Sissie Wile of Meridian.

    The wedding will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 6 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church.

    Miss Allred is the granddaughter of Jim and Joann McRae of Meridian, and the late Cliff and Juanita Allred of McComb.

    The bride-elect is a magna cum laude graduate of Millsaps College, where she received a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry. She is also a graduate of Meridian High School.

    While attending Millsaps, she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor society, Alpha Epsilon Delta honor society, Chi Omega sorority and the varsity cross country team. At UMC, she is an active member of Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and Phi Kappa Phi honor society.  

    Miss Allred will receive her doctor of medicine degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in May.  

    Mr. Wile is the grandson of the late Daniel and Luella Wile of Whittier, Calif. and the late William and Sarah Watson of Meridian.

    The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor of science degree and master of science degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. He is a graduate of Meridian High School.

    While attending Stanford, he was a member of Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society. After graduating, he worked for Gulfstream Aerospace as a structures engineer in Savannah, Ga.  

    Mr. Wile is currently president of Southern Cast Products in Meridian.

    A reception will be held at the Mississippi Industrial Heritage Museum Soulé Steam Works following the ceremony.
