Alawine, Oubre


    Mr. and Mrs. Terry Alawine of Lauderdale announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsi Dyan, to Christopher Mark Oubre, son of Mrs. Rebecca Rains of Sherman, Texas, and the late Mr. Mark Oubre of Meridian.

    The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 6 p.m., at Blackwater Baptist Church.

    Miss Alawine is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted S. Gambill of Meridian, Mrs. Patricia Williams and the late Mr. Max E. Williams of Meridian, the late Mr. Ralph Alawine of Lauderdale and the late Mr. Charles M. Johnson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

    The bride-elect is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School. She attended Meridian Community College.

    Miss Alawine is employed by DIRECTV Home Services.

    Mr. Oubre is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Al Oubre of Meridian, and Mrs. Jimmie Lou Fisher and the late Mr. Pete Fisher of Denison, Texas.

    The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School. He attended East Mississippi Community College.

    While attending EMCC, he was a member of the golf team.

    Mr. Oubre is employed by Henderson Steel.

    A reception will be held at Briarwood Country Club.
