Raines, Doss





Ronnie and Betty Raines of Toomsuba announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey LeAnn Raines of Maben, to Matthew Everet Doss of Mathiston, son of Jimmy and Becky Doss of Mathiston.

The wedding will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at 1 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Mathiston.

Miss Raines is the granddaughter of Ludie Chandler and the late Theodore Chandler, and Nell Raines and the late Herman Raines.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School. She is currently enrolled at Meridian Community College.

Miss Raines is a child care provider at First Presbyterian Church in Starkville.

Mr. Doss is the grandson of the late Junior and Irene Doss, Edwina Wise of Ackerman and the late Jerry Wise of Ackerman and Gwen Wise.

The bridegroom-elect received a forestry certification from Holmes Community College in 2006. He is a 2003 graduate of East Webster High School.

Mr. Smith is a firefighter for the city of Starkville.

A reception will follow the ceremony.
