— Christine Marie Walden and Daniel Eugene Moore, both of Jackson, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
A private afternoon ceremony is slated for 4 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at Grandview Estate, atop Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Miss Walden is the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas Beall Walden and the late Virginia "Ginger" Leggett Walden of Brookhaven.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Leggett of Brookhaven and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Lee Walden of Georgetown.
Mr. Moore is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Moore of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Elmo Irby of Natchez, the late Martha Ann Brown of Meridian, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sawyer of Meridian.
The bride-elect is an honors graduate of Millsaps College. She is a member of the Mu Chapter of the Kappa Delta sorority, where she served as chair of the Shamrock Project. She also served as a cheerleader for the Millsaps Majors. She is an honors graduate of Brookhaven High School.
Miss Walden is currently pursuing further education toward a career in the medical profession.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of the Full Sail Center for Recording Arts in Orlando, Fla. He is also a graduate of Meridian High School.
Mr. Moore is currently employed with ASAP Printing in Jackson.
A reception will follow on the grounds.
