Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Cater of Conehatta and John David Hopper of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Brandi Reneé Hopper, to Cody Lee Savell, son of Hamp Savell of Lawrence and the late Francis Susan Savell.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at 4:10 p.m. at Newton United Methodist Church.
Miss Hopper is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John D. Graham of Tiplersville and Barbara Ann Hopper of Meridian and the late Rev. John D. Hopper.
The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate with a bachelor's degree in broadcast communications from Mississippi State University-Meridian campus. She is a 2004 graduate of Meridian Community College and a 2002 graduate of Sebastopol High School.
She is formerly employed by WTOK-TV in Meridian.
Mr. Savell is the grandson of Helen Dennis of Lawrence and the late Mason Dennis and the late Jim Savell and Mrs. Arlies Quatelebaum Savell of Decatur.
The bridegroom-elect is a 2005 graduate of East Central Community College and attended Delta State University. He is a 2003 graduate of Newton High School.
Mr. Savell is employed by Halliburton-Sperry Drilling Services in Fort Worth, Texas.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall immediately following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
