Beatrice Brown and Douglas Brooks Sr. of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Renita L. Brown, to Ricardo L. Rush, son of Albert and Rosie Palmer and Henry Grace Jr., all of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss Brown is the granddaughter of the late Clara and J.C. McMillian and the late Sarah P. Brooks and Johnny B. Brooks Sr., all of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School. She attended Meridian Community College.
Miss Brown is employed by Murphy USA.
Mr. Rush is the grandson of Rosie Butchie and Jimmy Rush Sr. of Meridian and the late Beatrice Grace of Lauderdale.
Mr. Rush is employed by Mid-South Lumber.
A reception will be in The Magnolia Hall, formerly The Garden Center.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
