Salamipoorian, Thomas

— Mr. and Mrs. Mohammad Salamipoorian of Plano, Texas, announce the engagement of their daughter, Nakissa, to Dan Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Buck Thomas of Meridian.
The Christian wedding will be held Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at 5 p.m. in the Parisian Room of the Fairmont Hotel, Dallas. The Persian ceremony will follow in the Pavilion Room of the hotel.
The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and received her master's degree in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Miss Salamipoorian is an oncology social worker at Presbyterian Hospital in Plano.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in finance.
Mr. Thomas is employed by Scarbrough-Medlin and Associates of Dallas as a licensed risk manager.
A dinner and dance will be held immediately following the ceremony in the Venetian Ballroom of the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas.
