Linda Merrell Jenkins of Laurel and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Lynn Jenkins of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Lynn, to Jason Randolph Pippin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Pippin of Quitman.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at 6 p.m. at Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss Jenkins is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jack Edward Jenkins and the late Mr. Jenkins of Shubuta, Mr. and Mrs. James Grayson of Raleigh, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Morris Merrell of Vossburg.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Meridian Community College and a 2001 high honors graduate of Quitman High School. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where she was a member of Delta Gamma.
Miss Jenkins is currently a nursing student at Meridian Community College.
Mr. Pippin is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Stallings of Pachuta and the late Geraldine Jones of Quitman.
The bridegroom-elect is a 1997 graduate of Quitman High School.
Mr. Pippin is employed as a barge engineer with Rowan Companies Inc.
A reception will be held in the ball room at Quality Inn immediately following the ceremony.
