Lewis, Barr

Becky Farley and Van Lewis, both of Meridian, announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenni Lane Lewis, to John David Barr, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Barr of Meridian.

The wedding will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at 7 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church in Meridian.

Miss Lewis is the granddaughter of Ernestine Guynes and the late William F. Guynes, Jr. of Brandon and Naomi Lewis and the late Cary L. Lewis of Walnut Grove.

The bride-elect graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Alabama. She is a graduate of Meridian High School.

While attending Alabama, she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.

Miss Lewis is employed by Rush Foundation Hospital as a registered nurse.

Mr. Barr is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Johnson of Meridian and W. F. “Buddy” Barr and the late Mary Lou Barr of Meridian.

The bridegroom-elect received a master of arts degree in economics from the University of Alabama and graduated cum laude with a bachelor of business administration degree in banking and finance and managerial finance from the University of Mississippi. He is a graduate of Northeast High School.

While attending Ole Miss, he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

Mr. Barr is employed by Citizens National Bank as a trust administrator.

A reception will be held at the MSU Riley Center following the ceremony.
