Spedero, Newell

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Davison of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Jenkins of Keithsville, La., announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle DeAnn Spedero, to Richard L. Newell Jr., son of Irene Newell of Meridian. Mr. Newell is also the son of the late Richard L. Newell Sr.

The wedding will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at 6 p.m. at Briarwood Country Club in Meridian.

Ms. Spedero is the granddaughter of Evelyn Sauls and the late Jerome Sauls and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jenkins Sr.

The bride-elect received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Mississippi State University. She is a graduate of Lamar High School.

Ms. Spedero is the owner of The Bridal Room and Guy's Formal Wear.

Mr. Newell is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ebbie Newell and the late Mr. and Mrs. Luther Manasco.

The bridegroom-elect received an associates of arts degree in business from Meridian Community College. He is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School.

Mr. Newell is owner of Security First, Inc.

A reception will be held at Briarwood Country Club following the ceremony.
