Eakins, Jackson

Lakeisha Ann Eakins and Michael Jackson announce their engagement.

Ms. Eakins is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Heidelberg of Meridian and Eddie Cook of Marion. Mr. Jackson is the son of the late King Alfronzo McDonald and Ella Mae Jackson.

The wedding will be held Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at 5:30 p.m. at El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

Ms. Eakins is the granddaughter of Willie James Eakins of Lauderdale and the late Agnes D. Eakins and Mary L. Cook of Lauderdale and the late Roosevelt Cook.

The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School.

Mr. Jackson is the grandson of the late Ola Bell Myer and Major Jackson and the late Harriet Carr.

The bridegroom-elect is a 1988 graduate of East Kemper High School.

Mr. Jackson is employed at Sara Lee Bakery plant in Meridian.

A reception will be held at the Quality Inn immediately following the ceremony.

Family and friends are invited to attend.
