Wilbert and Trudy Lowery of Runnelstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Melisa Lucille Elliott, to Kevin Andrew McCormick, son of Keith and Sara McCormick of Hattiesburg.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. at Canebrake Country Club in Hattiesburg.
Miss Elliott is the granddaughter of the late Walter and Freida Kauf of Darmstadt, Germany, and Charles and Viola Elliott of Amite, La.
The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and McArthur High School in Houston, Texas.
Miss Elliott is employed as regional manager for Wells Fargo Auto Finance.
Mr. McCormick is the grandson of the late James Foote and Bush Shumate of Meridian and Jo McCormick of Newton and the late Paul McCormick. The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and Oak Grove High School.
While attending USM, he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.
Mr. McCormick is employed with Edward Jones Investments in Hattiesburg.
A reception will be held at Canebrake Country Club following the ceremony.
