Hunter, Stone

— Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Hunter Jr. of Macon announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Therrell, to John O'Neil Stone Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John O. Stone of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at the Dalarna House on Romar Beach in Orange Beach, Ala.
Miss Hunter is the granddaughter of Linda Thomas of Gulf Shores, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Thomas Jr. of Shuqualak and Janie Wood of Macon and Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Hunter Sr. of Louisville.
The bride-elect received a master's degree in audiology from the University of Southern Mississippi and a bachelor's degree in communicative disorders from the University of Mississippi. She is a graduate of Central Academy.
Miss Hunter is employed as an audiologist with the Charleston County School District in Charleston, S.C.
Mr. Stone is the grandson of Mrs. Fred Henry Argo of Birmingham, Ala., and the late Mr. Argo and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Evans Stone of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Mississippi. He is a graduate of Lamar High School.
Mr. Stone is employed by the Mississippi Air National Guard.
A reception will be held on the beach following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
