Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Leigh Heblon of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Julia Tate, to Scott Charles Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory E. Taylor of Jackson, N.C.

The wedding will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at 6 p.m.at Central United Methodist Church.

Miss Heblon is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Crawford of Meridian and Mrs. Edwin Earl Heblon of Meridian and the late Mr. Heblon.

The bride-elect graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a bachelor's degree in science degree in nursing. She attended the University of Mississippi and is a graduate of Meridian High School.

While attending Ole Miss, she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.

Miss Heblon is currently pursuing her master's degree in nursing at Troy University.

Mr. Taylor is the grandson of Mrs. Charlie Winfield Taylor of Jackson, N.C., and the late Mr. Taylor and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Alexander Blevins Sr. of Norton, Va.

The bridegroom-elect graduated cum laude from North Carolina State University with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and pulp and paper technology. He is a graduate of Northeast Academy

Mr. Taylor is employed by International Paper.

A reception will be held at Northwood Country Club following the ceremony.
