Heather Elyse Kirkland and William Scott Moseley announce their engagement.
Miss Kirkland is the daughter of Nancy Daws Kirkland of DeKalb and Danny Kirkland of Pachuta. Mr. Moseley is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Moseley of Bailey.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at 5 p.m. at DeKalb Baptist Church.
Miss Kirkland is the granddaughter of Mary Jane Daws of DeKalb and the late Wilmer C. Daws Jr. and the great-granddaughter of Ora B. Hudnall of Porterville.
The bride-elect received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi in 2007. She is a 2005 graduate of East Mississippi Community College and a 2003 graduate of Kemper Academy.
Miss Kirkland is employed by Peavey Electronics.
Mr. Moseley is the grandson of Bettye Crocker of Bailey and the late Maurice Crocker and Mr. and Mrs. Joe McLain of Montgomery, Ala., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ed Moseley.
The bridegroom-elect graduated summa cum laude from the University of Mississippi in 2007 with a degree in managerial finance. He is a 2004 graduate of East Mississippi Community College and a 2002 graduate of West Lauderdale High School.
While at Ole Miss, he was a member of the football team, a Taylor Medalist, a member of Phi Kappa Phi and a Swayze Award finalist.
Mr. Moseley is employed by Investment Professionals Inc.
A reception will be held at Meridian Little Theatre following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
