McCay, Wade

Mr. and Mrs. James Marion McCay Sr. of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebekah Leigh, to Steven Lee Wade, son of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Lee Wade of Morton.

The wedding will be held Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at 5 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church.

Miss McCay is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey McCay Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Thorton Sr.

The bride-elect received a bachelor's degree in family of consumer sciences with an emphasis in dietetics and nutrition from the University of Mississippi. She is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School.

While at Ole Miss, she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi and the Student Dietetic Association.

Miss McCay is employed by Morrison's Healthcare as a dietitian.

Mr. Wade is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith of Morton and Betty Fay Wade of Morton and the late Joyner Wade.

The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Mississippi State University. He is a graduate of Morton High School.

While attending MSU, he was a member of Baptist Student Union.

Mr. Wade is employed by Highland Baptist Church as the seminary intern/children's minister.

A reception will be held at The Gathering Place following the ceremony.

Formal invitations will be sent to out-of-town guests only.
