Latham, Downs

Faye Latham of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Latham of Meehan announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Ann, to Gerrell Wayne Downs Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerrell Downs of Kosciusko.

The wedding will be held Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Chapel of Memories on the Mississippi State University campus in Starkville.

Ms. Latham is the granddaughter of the late Mary Jane and Lewis Holditch of Meridian and the late Zilphia Reynolds of Quitman and the late Charlie Latham of Quitman.

The bride-elect received a bachelor's degree in business administration in 2008 from Mississippi State University. She is a 1986 graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School.

Ms. Latham is employed as contract and grant specialist for MSU's Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station (MAFES) Administration.

Mr. Downs is the grandson of Margaret Summers and the late Gatha Summers, the late Dorothy Downs and the late Louie Lee Downs of Kosciusko.

The bridegroom-elect is a 1983 graduate of Kosciusko High School. He attended Holmes Junior College and Mississippi State University.

Mr. Downs is employed by Downs' Upholstery Shop in Kosciusko.

A reception will be held in the President's Reception Room in Humphrey Coliseum on the Mississippi State University campus.

Family and friends are invited to attend.
