Jones, Morland

David and Barbara Lewis of Rose Hill and Ricky and Mary Jones of Collinsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Denise Jones, to Christopher Clinton Morland, son of Jeff and Robin Morland of Stonewall.

The wedding will be held Saturday, July 19, 2008, at 6 p.m. at The Stonewall House in Stonewall.

Miss Jones is the granddaughter of Jerry and Mary Jo Cotton and Betty Lewis of Rose Hill and the late David Lewis, James and Catherine Jones of Meridian and Sally Lee of Collinsville and the late Arthur Lee.

The bride-elect graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Mississippi State University-Meridian Campus. She is an honors graduate of East Central Community College and an honors graduate of Enterprise High School.

While attending MSU, Miss Jones was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, Phi Delta Kappa and Alpha Chi honor societies. At ECCC, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society, the Warrior Corps and the varsity cheerleading squad.

Mr. Morland is the grandson of Bobby and Shirley Davis of Stonewall and the late Billy Ray Morland of Collinsville and Joan Moulds of Meridian and the late Joe Winstead.

The bridegroom-elect attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where he pursued a degree in construction engineering. He is an honors graduate of East Central Community College and received a degree in drafting and design. He is an honors graduate of Enterprise High School.

While attending USM, he was a member of Student Constructors Association.

Mr. Morland is employed by the U.S. Air National Guard in the 186th, where he is crew chief on the KC-135.

A reception will be held at Stonewall Baptist Church following the ceremony.
