Mr. and Mrs. Tim Allred of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Michelle, to Timothy Patrick Ray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Ray Jr. of Memphis, Tenn.
The wedding will be held Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Central United Methodist Church at 6 p.m.
Miss Allred is the granddaughter of Jim and Joann McRae of Meridian and the late Cliff and Junita Allred of McComb.
The bride-elect received a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is a graduate of Meridian High School.
While attending USM, she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority and Beta Alpha Psi honor society.
Miss Allred has accepted a position in accounting with Horne, LLP in Laurel, starting in September.
Mr. Ray is the grandson of Elmer Ray Sr. of Memphis, and the late Johnnie Anne Ray and Betty Green of Olive Branch and the late James C. Green.
The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Memphis.
Mr. Ray is a manager for Fedex Home Delivery in Hattiesburg.
A reception will be held at Northwood Country Club immediately following the ceremony.
