Frankie and Laura Fitzgerald of Collinsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Rose, to Aaron Bryan Pogue, son of Kenny and Jamie Pogue of Collinsville.
The wedding will be held Friday, May 30, 2008, at 6 p.m. at Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church.
Miss Fitzgerald is the granddaughter of Willard and Ann Rose of Seminary and Carl and Thelma Fitzgerald of Meridian and the late Jo Fitzgerald.
The bride-elect is pursuing a degree in elementary education from Mississippi State University-Meridian. She received an associate's degree from Meridian Community College and is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School. She also attended the University of Southern Mississippi.
While attending MCC, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, MCC Chorus and Encore. At USM, she was a member of the Dixie Darling Dance Team.
Miss Fitzgerald is employed by Barbara Henson Swim Gym.
Mr. Pogue is the grandson of Landis and Billie Culpepper of Collinsville and Leonard and Sylvia Pogue of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is pursuing a degree in elementary education at Mississippi State University-Meridian. He received an associate's degree from Meridian Community College and was home schooled.
While attending MCC, he was a member of the chorus, Encore and play productions of "Come Blow Your Horn" and "Big River."
Mr. Pogue is employed by CBL and Associates.
A reception will be held at the Gathering Place following the ceremony.
