ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College’s Center in Waynesboro is offering three non-credit courses this summer. Computer options include Introduction to Personal Computers, Windows7 and Microsoft Excel 2010 Basic. CEU’s are available for computer courses upon request. The deadline to register is one week before classes begin.
Introduction to Personal Computers will meet on Thursday nights beginning July 18-Aug. 8, from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Learn how to switch on a PC, manage files and folders, use e-mail and browse the Web with Internet Explorer. The cost of the class is $35
The Windows 7 class will meet on Thursday nights, beginning Aug. 15 through Oct. 10, from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. The cost is $75
Microsoft Excel 2010 Basic will meet Oct. 17-Nov. 14, from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. The cost is $55.

Here's a look at upcoming programs and events at East Central Community College:
Registration is from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Prospective students should have on file in the Office of Admissions a completed ECCC Application for Admission (www.eccc.edu); ACT or COMPASS scores, which will be used for placement in English and mathematics courses; and high school/college transcripts. Transfer students must have all college transcripts on file before they can register.
During registration/orientation, students will complete their fall class schedules, have photos made for identification badges and the college yearbook, apply for a parking decal (must have tag number), and complete the online orientation.
Students who have not taken either the ACT or COMPASS test should be prepared to take it at 8:30 a.m. on the day of registration. The cost is $20.
A complimentary meal will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria for students and parents.
The final orientation session is Aug. 9. Fall classes begin Aug. 14.
