MERIDIAN — These students from Ross Collins Career and Technical Center placed in the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) competition at Jones Junior College: from left, Nydia Young, fifth place in Retail Merchandising; Kristian Turner, fourth place in Hotel and Lodging Management; Jakara Wilson, fourth place in Restaurant and Food Service Management; Alexus Graham, second place in Apparel and Accessories; Daniella Tellez, second place in Business Finance; Emily Paul, second place in Marketing Management; Scott Ellis, first place in Sports and Entertainment Marketing; and Lisa Abel, sixth place in Human Resources Management. Each of the students qualified to compete in the State DECA competition, held this week in Jackson. In addition to the students listed, Daniel Paul competed in the state competition with a written Entrepreneur project.
