MERIDIAN —     • CLINTON – Several local residents were among nearly 800 students who received diplomas from Mississippi College during spring commencement exercises: Meridian – Kristie Rose Allen, bachelor of science, magna cum laude; Chesney Rebecca Tedder, bachelor of arts; Quinta S. Sudbury Thomas, master of education; and Michael Ryan Whitaker, master of business administration; Marion — Morgan Alyse Hobgood, master of science.

    • MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The following area residents were named to the Dean’s List at the University of Memphis for the spring 2012 semester: Gail Sims of Meridian and Brigid Catherine Welsh of Union.

    The Dean’s List is composed of students who have 12 or more earned hours in either the fall or spring semester, with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 of a 4.0 scale for that semester.

    • RAYMOND – Two area residents were among more than 900 graduates during spring commencement exercises at Hinds Community College: Travis Riley of Meridian, technical certificate; and Austin Jenkins of Philadelphia, associate in applied science degree.
