MCC alumna Senora Miller Logan shares her story

MERIDIAN —        Offering advise to students in Meridian Community College’s Honors College, Senora Miller Logan remembers how much she enjoyed being a student at MCC.

“I loved all of my MCC instructors,” said Logan, who graduated from the college in 1993.     After earning her associate degree, she received her bachelor of arts in accounting from Anderson University in Anderson, Ind. Logan was guest speaker at the recent MCC Honors College session held on campus.

Today, Logan is assistant director of the Luckyday Programs at the University of Mississippi, where she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Luckyday Success Program. She manages staff and organizes any major retreats or training session sponsored by Luckyday. She also assists with the development of Luckyday curriculum.

She encouraged the MCC students to get to know their instructors and professors.

“Don’t ever be afraid to ask for help,” she said.

Barbara Jones, MCC vice president for operations, said she invited Logan to speak, “because she is a successful graduate of MCC and she works at one of our transferring institutions.”
