Here's a look at upcoming events at East Mississippi Community College:



• Summer registration – Registration is open for summer classes. The second summer session is July 7-Aug. 6. Students may register for classes until the first Friday after classes begin.

• Fall registration – Registration is under way at EMCC’s campuses in Scooba and the Golden Triangle. The first day of classes in the fall is Aug. 18; students may register until Aug. 22.

Here's a look at upcoming events at East Central Community College, Decatur:



• July 7 – The second four-week terms begins and ends Aug. 1. The deadline to register is July 8.

Course offerings on the Decatur campus include General Biology I and Lab, Anatomy and Physiology I and Lab, General Chemistry II and Lab, English Composition II, Intermediate Algebra, Microcomputer Applications, English Literature II, College Algebra, Music Appreciation, General Biology II and Lab and Anatomy and Physiology II and Lab.

Classes scheduled in Choctaw include American History I and American History II.



Here's a look at upcoming events at other college and university campuses:



• June 4, June 17, July 1, July 29 – Registration/orientation dates for incoming freshmen at Jones County Junior College in Ellisville. All freshmen are required to make an appointment for orientation and registration before they register for fall classes. For more information, call (601)477-4030.

• June 22-27 – Called iDesign, the first-of-its-type university camp for rising 11th and 12th graders, will be held at Mississippi State University in Starkville. The program is open to high school students with interests in art, design or related areas. The registration deadline is June 9.

In addition to simulating a microcosm of collegiate life, the residential workshop offered through the Division of Academic Outreach and Continuing Education is designed to provide participants with structured experiences in various creative design processes.

Classes will be taught by faculty members in the interior design academic program and their colleagues in other areas of MSU's College of Architecture, Art and Design.

The attendance fee of $500 covers the costs of room and board and out-of-class activities. MSU student chaperones will provide supervision when the campers are not in class.
