Wants law changed



We have a 16 year old daughter who recently became involved with a 19 year old Marine. We did not know about this relationship for quite some time but once we found out we did not approve. Both my husband and myself contacted this man and asked him to please stay away from our daughter as we felt she was too young to be involved with him. On both occasions he agreed to leave her alone but did not. When we discovered that this relationship was ongoing my wife and I took our daughter to our county sheriff to see what help they could give us. To our surprise and dismay we learned that there was no law that would keep them apart. Even though she is considered under-age for all other purposes, apparently when it comes to dating she is free to date anyone no matter their age. This man has total mind control over our child. He has told her to leave her family and quit school and there is no legal way we can keep them apart. We feel that this issue needs to be addressed and the legal age for consent should be changed to 18 to help prevent other families from experiencing the heartache our family is currently living through. I am writing this letter to inform other parents of teenage daughters who may be unaware, as we were, that under Mississippi law any any man over the age of 18 can have a relationship, sexual or otherwise, and by law the parents can do nothing to prevent this. The person who stole our daughter from us and ripped our family apart did this through cell phone calls, text messaging, and facebook. I sincerely hope that no other family ever has to experience the pain we have, but until the laws are changed to protect our daughters until they are 18 I am afraid that this will continue to happen.

Why race?



Why does everything have to turn into a race issue?  If someone other than myself is better qualified for my position, my employer has every right to replace me. Period. 

There are no guarantees. Period.  I'm tired of hearing that because you think you're entitled, you are "due." Everyone should be held accountable for their position — no matter race, creed, religion, etc.  

What if, during the VMA Awards the other night, a Caucasian "artist" stormed the stage and comandeered the microphone and used a black "artist's" time to spew about another one's due? It would definitely have turned into a huge racial issue. I promise you, we'd be seeing Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson. But, since it was a black man accosting a white person, race was not mentioned at all. He's "sorry."

Get over it.  Let our Mayor do her job to the best of her ability and leave race out of it.

Qualifications, no matter race are what counts in my America.

Chavez urges new world order



Oil giant Venezuela, owner of Citgo Petroleum Corporation, has oil reserves at the Orinoco Oil Belt that are considered the largest oil reserve in the world and Hugo Chavez has agreed with Tehran’s Ahmadinejad to ship 20,000 barrels per day of refined gasoline to Iran reported CNN, September 7, 2009. 

Iran produces 60 percent of their domestic gasoline needs and must import the remaining 40 per cent. This cooperation will open a range of issues including nuclear power.  

“Expansion of Tehran-Caracas relations is necessary given their common interest, friends and foes,” Ahmadinejad said after a meeting with Chavez. Both leaders in their totalitarian form of government have a strong financial bond and common goal for the destruction of the United States with a strong leftist movement to control the world. As these leaders build muscles for control with oil and nuclear power our government attempts to negotiate peace agreements that are strong only as long as the U.S. has finances and the resolve to be a military power.  

Centuries ago the writers of Daniel and Ezekiel predicted that Iran/Persia will be part of a coalition that will show itself strong militarily at the end of the gentile age. Daniel was troubled by the revelation and was told by the heavenly prince who defends Israel, the angel Michael, that his writings were for the time of the end. (Dan12.4) Concurrent with the prophecy of Daniel, it is fascinating to read Ezekiel’s writing (Ezek 38) at approximately 587 BC that predicts the action that is occurring today in the Middle East and lists the countries of Persia/Iran, Put/Libya with Algeria, Syria and Gog/Russia who  will be in league to make war and to attempt to destroy and wipe from the face of the earth the Jewish people, the nation of Israel.  And Chavez has, this week, completed the tour of these nations to sign arms and energy deals. 

In addition to the gasoline agreement the supreme leader of the Iranian Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei urged Chavez to lead an “independent front.”  Khamenei stated that the “United States’ repeated defeats in various parts of the world are proof of an undeniable change in the world.” Consistent with the Iran view for change, Chavez urged Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to speed up the creation of a new world in their meeting outside of Moscow. Unfortunately, the U.S. Press recorded very little of this news. However, El Universal Daily News, Caracas, Venezuela provides a complete recording of the listed data as we peer into the action of the day and the potential for the future.

What about the future? It was about the same time during the life of Daniel, Jeremiah and Ezekiel when God asked, “Can these bones live?” And Ezekiel replied, “O Sovereign LORD, you alone know."(Ezek 37.3) Today, the world knows that on May 15, 1948 that bone upon bone came together as they were joined together with sinews and flesh. And breath or spirit came into them and they are called the Nation of Israel. These historical facts were presented before the events occurred and God calls it prophecy. Prophecy is not given for dogma but to provide an avenue of faith to believe in the Sovereign God of the universe. Isaiah was encouraged to remember the former things that God did in the past and then He stated. (Isa 46.9) “I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end and the result from the beginning and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand.”
