Today's need — $3,250.98

MERIDIAN —     “If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has not pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?” 1 John 3:17

Praise belongs to God as every need since 2009 has been met. Thanks to everyone who has generously given over the years to change and enhance lives physically, financially, and spiritually. Each week I stand in awe of God as I witness God’s provision in our lives.

Today’s need concerns seven circumstances. These circumstances are a compilation of people who shared with us their stories. These stories protect the confidentiality of the individuals. The first need is an elderly gentleman who has never asked for help. He lives on a small fixed income making it impossible to repair his ceiling that fell in because of heavy rain. We can provide utilities so he can make the needed repairs.

The second need is a father with two children. He had surgery for a brain aneurysm.  His surgery went well, and he is starting a new job next week. We can provide rent and utilities as he gets his life back on track.

The third need is a single mother of three children. She has been on dialysis for several years but continues to provide for her children. We can assist with her rent and utilities as she battles health issues.

The fourth need is lady in her seventies recently diagnosed with cancer. She has been overwhelmed by the trips to and from the doctor. We can assist her with rent and utilities as she fights cancer.

The fifth need is a single mother with two children. She was in the hospital for several days because of an infection. The time in the hospital caused her to miss her much needed income. We can assist her with rent and utilities as she goes back to work.

The sixth need is a lady who was laid off from a job she has worked for years.  She has found another job but the time between receiving income has her in a financial bind. We can provide assistance with her mortgage and utilities as she starts her new job.

The seventh need is a man who was recently diagnosed with several health issues requiring him to miss several days of work. We can provide utilities while he returns to work.

With $3,250.98 we can meet all these needs. Thank you for allowing God to show provision for these needs through your prayers and giving.

For your information, any story will be shared after all needs and individuals have been processed through the Wesley Clearing House. Proof of I.D., pay stubs, tax records, and a social security number for each member of the household must be provided. In addition, any child over 18 must provide income information, copies of any outgoing bills, and proof of any subsidy such as food stamps, housing allowance, etc.  This extensive application process ensures the people and the situations they face are real.  God is so good! Thank you for being somebody He can use. Please pray for each need and see if God gives you the means to help. If He puts it on your heart, please act on it.
