Golden Living Center-Meridian donates $1K to Salvation Army

MERIDIAN —     Golden Living Center-Meridian donated $1,000 to The Salvation Army during a check presentation on March 25 at The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army will use the donation to replenish winter supplies that were depleted during the extreme winter weather, according to a press release.

    “Golden Living is proud to present this grant to The Salvation Army,” said Janet Wise, ED, Golden Living Center – Meridian. “We are pleased to be able to support worthwhile organizations like the Salvation Army, which are pillars of the  community.”

    The donation will be made as part of Golden Living’s Community Support Initiative grant program, which is funded through Golden Living Center – Meridian parent company, Golden Living.

    The Community Support Initiative grants are charitable contributions given in support of worthy nonprofit community or regional organizations. Since the programs inception in 2005, more than 1,689 grants have been awarded; contributing $1,617,000 into local communities the company serves.

    Golden Living Center - Meridian provides quality healthcare for up to 120 residents, including those needing skilled nursing and rehabilitative care, the press release states.

    The Living Center has been part of the community since 1978. The Living Center is located at 4728 Highway 39 North in Meridian, and can be reached by calling 601-482-8151.
