Andy McMillon joins Great Southern National Bank

MERIDIAN —     Great Southern National Bank is pleased to announce that Andy McMillon has joined the bank as Senior Vice President and Operations Officer, according to Jeff McCoy, President and Chief Executive Officer.

    A native of Kosciusko, McMillon graduated from East Holmes Academy and Holmes Community College and began his career in bank operations with M&F Bank. He comes to Great Southern National Bank from First State Bank in Holly Springs.

    McMillon is a member of Kiwanis, Gideon’s International, and the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief State Task Force. He is a supporter of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life; formerly serving as Marshall County Treasurer and most recently as Captain of Great Southern National Bank’s Relay for Life team.      

    McMillon and his wife, Linda, are members of First Baptist Holly Springs and have one son, John Andrew.     

    Great Southern National Bank, originally founded in 1902 as Bank of Quitman, holds assets totaling over $266 million and has over 120 employees that operate 13 retail banking locations in Meridian, Decatur, Quitman, Pachuta, Enterprise, Waynesboro and Hattiesburg.
