The 26th Annual Main Event slated for April 30

MERIDIAN — Special to The Star

    The East Mississippi Business Development Corporation (EMBDC) is holding its 26th Annual The Main Event Business & Industry Expo Wednesday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    The event will be held at Bonita Lakes Mall in Anchor E (near Belk).

    This year's theme is "Open for Business." Participating businesses will use this to exhibit their service or store in a fun, new way.

    "The Main Event is an excellent opportunity for area businesses to connect with the public," an EMBDC press release states. "Over 3,000 people attend the event each year, which creates quite the audience for someone to showcase their business."

    The EMBDC is inviting the the public to attend and vote for their favorite booth.

    All attendees will get a ticket upon entering The Main Event and can vote for their favorite booth of the day! The winner will be announced at 3:30 p.m. that Wednesday.

    The East Mississippi Business Development Corporation is a private, not-for-profit organization committed to improving economic vitality and quality of life for our citizens. The EMBDC serves as the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development organization for the community.
