Livable Wage Signing

Flanked by city employees and supporters, Mayor Percy Bland signed the livable wage increase on Thursday at City Hall. The Meridian City Council unanimously approved the measure on Tuesday, which brings city employees making less than $9 per hour up to that rate. Other employees were given a $400 a year raise. With Bland for the signing are (from left) C.W. Robinson, Jennifer Guy, Marjorie Alexander, Johnnie Delk, Curt Goldacker, Anna Graves, Mechelle McDonald, Chrissie Walker, Richie McAlister, Exenia Clay, Terrell Thompson.
