50th anniversary

— Bobby and Anita Thompsonwill celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception on Sunday, June 14, 2009, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m., at Arkadelphia Baptist Church in the Bailey Community. The event will be hosted by the couple's children: Karon Vick and her husband, Jay, Cristy Moffett and her husband, Joey, and Cathy Gordon and her husband, Brian. The Thompsons have seven grandchildren: Kyle Vick, Jessica Vick, Haleigh Moffett, Jordan Vick, Josie Gordon, Megan Moffett and Brett Gordon. The couple were married on June 5, 1959, in DeKalb. Mr. Thompson is the retired owner of Thompson Electric Inc. Mrs. Thompson is a retired teacher from West Lauderdale. Friends are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts.
