60th anniversary

— Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Mangum celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Friday, May 22, 2009, with a dinner hosted by their children: Cindy and Scott Varnado of Walker, La., and Don and Donna Mangum of Meridian. The couple have five grandchildren. The Mangums were united in marriage at Wesley United Methodist Church in Meridian on May 22, 1949, with the Rev. Bill McClelland conducting the ceremony.
