The deadline to submit copy for anniversary announcements is 5 p.m. the preceding Monday of the Sunday publication. If the preceding Monday is a holiday (and The Star office is closed), the deadline is Tuesday.
No form is available for anniversary announcements. Information should be brief and must include the couple’s name, date of marriage and location (city). If a reception is to be held, the date, time and location and hosts should be included.
Optional information may include number of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren (if applicable) and place of employment before retirement.
There is no charge for anniversary announcements, which may be published with or without a photo. If desired, the announcement may include two photographs — a current and one of the couple on their wedding day or during their early years of marriage. Black and white or color photos are accepted; all are published in black and white.
