The children of Roy and Mary Formby will host a celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, March 15, 2009, from 2 p.m.-5 p.m., at the Quality Inn at 1401 Roebuck Drive. The coupled were married on March 25, 1959, in Dewey, Okla., at the home of S.P. and Cora Nell Morgan. The Formbys have five children, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Roy is retired from the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant commander and from Bonanza/Ponderosa Restaurant. Mary is retired from Richton Tie and Timber as office manager. The couple requests no gifts, please.
