David and Nancy Henson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 22, 2006, with family in Huntsville, Ala., where they have resided since 1961. David and Nancy are originally from Meridian.Their children are Cindy Allen and her husband David, Shaun Henson and wife Mindy, and Mike Henson. They have 4
grandchildren, Mikey, Brittney, Kaylee,and Amanda.They were married Dec. 22, 1956, in Meridian. Nancy’s parents, Bostickand Cynthia Usher, and David’s parents Vaden and Idell Henson, were also
natives of Meridian.

Poore 54th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Charles K. Poore celebrated their 54th anniversary on Feb. 3, 2007. They were married in 1953 in Meridian. They have four children, Carl Poore and his wife, Christina, Mike Poore and his wife, Marilyn, all of Meridian, Barbara Smith of Martinez Calif. and Patricia Gordon and her husband, Steve, of Mansfield, Texas. They have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Cooper 65th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Wille Claude Cooper celebrated their 65th anniversary with a reception in their home hosted by their children. The Coopers have three children, Larry Cooper of Baton Rouge, La., Ginny Simmons of Hattiesburg and Sheryl Watts of Meridian. They also have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The Coopers were married on Jan. 10, 1942 in Meridian.
