There will be a general marked improvement in all conditions in the year ahead. However, just because a number of things are much better, it does not give you license to coast or be careless about what you get into.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20) -- Although it might be tempting, don't overstate your story about something that could be embarrassing if others discover that you exaggerated the facts. There's always someone with a ruler ready to measure a fish story

GEMINI (May 21-June 20) -- Indifference with regard to your financial dealings could cause you to lose something you had worked hard to gain. There's always someone waiting for others to let their guard down.

CANCER (June 21-July 22) -- Examine the motives of anyone who makes a grandiose promise, because there is usually something behind a grand or unusual gesture. This person may be hoping to make gains at your expense.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22) -- Your chart indicates there could be several lost opportunities from a lack of self-discipline when it comes to your affairs. Regardless of the inconvenience, stay on top of anything you believe could be developed.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) -- Be honest in conversations with close friends, but be careful about your choice of words, especially when discussing a matter of great sensitivity to another. Diplomacy is your best policy.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23) -- Success will be denied if you nourish negativity. If you don't think like a winner or act like one, don't expect the results to be any different. Maintain a positive demeanor at all times.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 22) -- The way you look at things is accurate most of the time, but that doesn't mean you can't be swayed to another's inaccurate opinion. Be careful what you listen to.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23-Dec. 21) -- A promoter who dangles a carrot in front of your eyes will be more interested in gratifying his or her hunger than yours. Analyze this person's motives before you take the bait.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19) -- You might have a lot of fun working with others on a joint endeavor, but at the end of the day when you look back on things, you may feel you were the one saddled with the most work.

PISCES (Feb. 20-March 20) -- Believe in your abilities when you find yourself involved in a competitive development, but don't allow yourself to be matched up against someone whose abilities have been underestimated.

ARIES (March 21-April 19) -- It is best not to allow an outsider to enter the picture on a matter that should be kept within the confines of the people involved. Albeit well intended, this person could muddy the waters.
