MS--Fatal Crash

VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) — The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle crash that killed a 26-year-old Vicksburg man this past weekend.

Authorities say Jerell Thomas apparently lost control of his pickup truck about 7 a.m. Sunday just south of Yokena on U.S. Highway 61 South and flipped the vehicle several times.

He was ejected out of the vehicle and the truck rolled up an embankment.

Warren County Deputy Coroner Kelda Bailess says Thomas likely died on impact of head and body trauma.
